Your email and other google data can also be accessed on your phone. These instructions are tailored for people with iPhones simply because that's what most people have and if you have an Android you probably won't think you need instructions anyways.
The following links should be clicked on in an iOS browser (safari or chrome). Once clicked, it will take you to the app store to download them.
If you would like to easily access this instruction page, simply go to mobile.missouribeta.com from your phone or other device.
To make this process go easier, make sure you have a 6-digit passcode set on your phone.
Step 1: Download the Google Device Policy App by clicking the link from your phone. Download Google Device Policy App
Step 2: Sign in with your Beta Gmail Account.
(IF 2-factor Enforced) After you login you will be prompted for the code that should have been texted to you. If you did not receive a text message after you clicked "Sign in" you need to Go Here to setup 2-Factor login.
Step 3: Accept terms of Service
Step 4: Click the blue icon to install the profile
Step 5: A browser will launch automatically. You will have to click "Allow" for the first message and "Install" button a total of 3 times as shown below
Step 6: Click the red Trust icon
Step 7: Click done
***Note: If you see this screen you must set a 6 digit passcode for your phone, if you already have a passcode set you will not see this.
Step 8: A popup should have come up saying "Enter the Google password for first.last@missouribeta.com in Settings " message.
If this did not pop up Go to the settings app -> Accounts & Passwords -> G Suite Account.
Click "Re-enter Password" and then login.
You should now see this screen.
YOU MUST DISABLE MAIL TO PREVENT ERRORS
Step 9: Now, Download the Gmail App by clicking the link below or searching "gmail" in the app store
Step 10: Make sure your Beta account is switched on in the "Gmail" App.
If you already have another account logged in on the "Gmail" App this screen can be found by clicking the "menu" icon->click on the other account-> Click "Manage Accounts"
Step 11 (If 2-factor Enforced): Go to 2-Factor Setup on your computer or mobile device to enable Google Prompt on your phone. You can get these notifications through the "Gmail" app once you complete Step 10.
This is to make sure your Google Prompt is setup with your new phone (Google Prompt is what you setup so you can click on a notification when you are trying to login instead of a code being texted to you.)
END
You now have access to your Beta Gmail, contacts, and calendars on your phone. For other apps that work well with Google see the info below.
The Google Chrome web browser is nice because your bookmarks are automatically synced between all your devices, plus you can print any page from any device you are logged into your Beta Email account with. You are also automatically signed into your Beta account for easy access to internal websites that you would have to login to if you used safari.
These are the Google Drive apps. It is basically an online version of Microsoft Office. The perk of this is that each of you has 30 GB of free online storage so you can save all your files to this and you never have to worry about your computer screwing up and losing all your files. Plus any file saved to Google Drive can be printed to both the House and Annex Printer anywhere without having to install any extra software or drivers.
Download Google Sheets (Excel)
Download Google Slides (Powerpoint)
Sharing and Saving pictures also got alot easier. Download the Google Photos app and you can backup and share as many photos as you want. This does not go against your 30GB drive storage so if you take as many pictures as all the girls at tri-delt and still save them all with this app
